I want to create a happier world, plain and simple.
Hi. My name is Sara, and I'm a single mother of a toddler.
In January of 2012, I made the life-changing decision to leave a stressful (to put it lightly) marriage. My daughter, who was 18 months old at the time, was showing signs of anxiety, and I realized that she deserved a better life than the one I had chosen for myself.
In the months that followed, it became more and more apparent that she is a very intelligent, sensitive, and self-aware little girl. These are all very positive qualities, but for a toddler with little grasp of language, they can also make life very frustrating, confusing, and downright scary.
I quickly realized that there were very few resources available for toddlers coping with anxiety—either generalized or transition-related. Kids aged one and up understand a lot more than we give them credit for, and their experience of life can be very scary because they aren't able to understand or articulate their fears, or ask for help.
I am here to share my experience, in the hope that it helps other parents and children.
In its previous life, Stinkerpants was the home of a business I spent six years building: I did custom drawings for weddings, children and families. Stinkerpants was featured in Style Me Pretty, Vanity Fair, Weddingbee and Martha Stewart Weddings. It was a great joy to be part of the wedding and retail industry, and the decision to shutter the business was not one I made lightly. Changing the entire focus of my online home is admittedly a little scary in and of itself, but nothing was scarier than the first steps I took in 2012.
I now live in Marin County, California, with my wonderful daughter. I am eternally thankful for my life and the people in it.
To new beginnings!

When I was a little girl, I played with toy cars in the mud, made spaceships for worms out of acorn tops and pretended to host my own Martha Stewart-esque TV shows, long before the advent of HGTV. My imagination is still running wild twenty years later, I am happy to say.
I’ve been drawing, sculpting, painting, crafting things, and generally getting my hands dirty for as long as I can remember. In my free time, I keep myself quite busy. Check out my blog to learn more about who I am!
