I can’t believe I haven’t posted about these yet! They were finished right before our wedding, so that’s probably why. :) I love how they came out.
S & G were married in Maine (this past weekend!), but they met in San Francisco and are having a reception in Los Angeles for their west coast family and friends in November. When S & G came to me, they were looking for a fun invitation for their west coast reception; they wanted it to tell the tale of their coast-to-coast love story.

The first drawing is set in San Francisco, where they met. The second one is set in Maine, where they were married (check out the moose!), and the third one shows the Manhattan Pier in Los Angeles, where they’re having their reception. We were able to sneak little bits of their personalities into the drawings, too. For example, check out the “Think Blue” in the background of the third drawing–they’re Dodger fans!

Congratulations, S & G!!

Last weekend, I went to an amazing baby shower! I’ve never seen anything like it. I should have known what to expect–after all, a wedding planner (Lisa of BV Weddings) and a florist (Karen, the mama-to-be, is Huckleberry Karen) put the whole thing together! Total cuteness, let me tell you. I was really excited when Karen asked me to do her shower invitations:

and Lisa asked me to make a sign for the wish tree:

How cute is that wish tree? Karen’s sister knitted those little hippos! So cute.
In fact, the theme was everywhere…on signs, cookie favors and water bottles:
Check out Karen’s cute centerpieces:

Yes, that’s a diaper cake! Super cute.
It was really fun to be a part of such a great event, and to see my friend Karen looking so happy (and pregnant! She’s seriously the cutest pregnant gal I’ve ever seen!). It was also really cool to see my designs executed so well. It’s not often that I get to attend the event I’ve designed for. :) Thanks for inviting me, Karen!

I finished these awhile back, but I didn’t have time to post them! Check them out! Here’s the invitation, as it will be mailed out:

This invitation is made up of two parts: the main invitation and a bigger drawing for some added fun. This couple is super into sailing; I learned so much about the sport while working on these invites! For example, that purple sail is called a spinnaker. They come in all sorts of colors, but Jess and Ben’s is a special shade of purple. Jess is interested in horticulture, so she asked that I include plants and oak trees on Angel Island, in addition to other personal details. The result is a very personal invitation!

Here’s the main invitation. This is flat-printed, but would look awesome letterpressed, too.

Happy wedding day, Jess and Ben!

S’s Graduation Invitations are finished! When S’s cousin, K, contacted me about creating these invitations, I was really excited about the idea. S just graduated from the University of New Haven with a degree in Criminal Justice. This lucky gal had a CSI-themed party thrown in her honor, and I got to create the invitations for them!

S is obviously a girl after my own heart–check out her awesome pink shoes!

A is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She and B are getting married on August 3rd, and they wanted a fun invitation for their August 2nd rehearsal dinner. I (of course) was happy to oblige! The dinner is at a super cute restaurant called Zazu, which is located in an eye-catching red barn-type building. Check it out:

Look what’s on the way! I’m really excited about this invitation suite–it’s so fun and vibrant! M & A are getting married on the Fourth of July. Their wedding colors are aqua and red (which look fantastic together, by the way!), and they’re getting married in a garden. I’m so excited by how these turned out!

Here’s the whole set: thank you card, invitation and RSVP postcard.

I hope you love them as much as I do, M & A!
