I work at Paper Source, which is basically every bride-to-be’s heaven. In general, I get a great discount, but today’s discount was even better: 40% off. I think it’s supposed to be considered a holiday gift from the company (um, hello, holiday bonus? Come on, people). Whatever their reasoning, I was very happy to get basically everything I need to make my invitations, favors and programs. I haven’t talked too much about what my plans are for the invitations. Basically, they are pool-colored accordians with a letterpress front. They’re sort of like these, but will have more panels:
They’ll be closed with a ribbon and mailed off in a pool-colored envelope. I’m super excited to make them! The programs will be brightly colored A7 backings with a layered style, like these (sort of):
Here, in picture form, are some of the colorful things I bought! I’m super excited:
Pool colored paper for the accordians:
This doesn’t do it justice at all, but here’s the gorgeous hand-dyed silk to close the invitations (made from recycled parachutes!):
The A7 backings for the programs (plus white ribbon to close them):
Ribbon, to close the white boxes for the favors:
Yay for bright colors and 40% off! Now I can get to WORK on this stuff!

Yay! I’ve been working diligently the last couple of weeks, trying to get things done while I still have the motivation. I’m almost done with the drawings for the table indicators, but I wanted to post the first thing I’ve finished: my photo reminder cards! I plan to place these at each place setting to remind people to share their pictures. I’m not getting them printed until closer to the wedding (just in case Yahoo! decides to change the log on procedure). Check them out:
